All around the planet, for thousands of years, Rivers have been considered sacred,  inspiring many seasonal rituals and celebrations honouring the river as a force of nature and a divine being that is to be respected.
Water is considered the ‘giver of life’ and the reality is that without clean healthy water there will be no life on this planet. People around the world still perform rite and rituals for their rivers – what will we be inspired to create for our River? How will we thank Her for all the abundance she has brought B.C.?  How will we ensure that ‘our’ river is protected?
